Join MENA voices calling for an end to the Genocide in Gaza - Act Now !

IMMEDIATE AND PERMANENT CEASEFIRE NOW!

Over the past two and a half years, Gaza has endured unimaginable relentless violence, including ongoing airstrikes and aid restrictions. It has been met with an inadequate international response, despite growing global attention. This is a continuation of ongoing genocide and 78 years of systemic oppression across Palestine.

Greenpeace Middle East and North Africa (MENA) expresses deep alarm at the catastrophic humanitarian toll of the ongoing genocide. The Israeli government continues its devastating acts of collective punishment with impunity, while the international community has utterly failed to respond with the necessary moral urgency and integrity.

Despite widespread condemnation, governments around the world have taken little or no meaningful action—no enforceable arms embargo, no coordinated sanctions, no decisive diplomatic intervention. Their inaction is not neutrality. It is complicity.

The weaponisation of aid has placed over 1.6 million people, 77% of the population facing high levels of acute food insecurity, with hundreds of thousands still enduring either emergency or catastrophic food deprivation and malnourishment. While formal famine was pushed back following the October 2025 ceasefire, UN agencies warn the situation remains highly fragile and could rapidly deteriorate again. The death toll* from bullets and bombs will add to the tragic loss of innocent lives caused by the deliberate withholding of bread and medicine.
